This band started to act at the beginning of
July 1999. Founders of Antares were: guitarist
Roman Wrobel and drummer Marcin Magiera. Two months
later bass-guitarist Rafal Majchrowski joined
to them.
It was hard at the outset - long-time troubles
with finding vocalist caused this function was
taken by Roman. Many various, less or more useful
"musicians" (both vocalists and guitarists)
took part in Antares in that period. But primary
personnel is still the same and makes band's kernel.
In October 2000, Antares registered the first
three-tracked demo in TUBA Studio. The professional
release demo "Whip of Life" was presented
in November, the same year. The first good reviews
of demo turned up in zines, music magazines and
broadcasts.
Band was taken under heavy-metal wings of Dragonight
Agency. All of this was hard kick for guys, so
they set about further intensive working on old
and new songs, and looking for the vocalist and
the second guitarist.
New vocalist - Jaroslaw Drag was received in March
2001. Then the band created new compositions,
and enriched old ones with vocal-line. Roman concentrated
mainly on playing on guitar, but he also sang
in chorus.
In April, that year, the second guitarist Krzysztof
Radomski enclosed to band, but co-operation was
finished after four months. At the same time,
Antares started to give the performances - first
as a five-men staff, lately only as four-men.
They appeared on stage of music-clubs, and motocycle-rallies
(rally in Sobótka and international rally
in Zdynia, when Antares gave concert before band
of Marek Piekarczyk from TSA). The great success
was supporting ACID DRINKERS and, received with
enhusiasm by the public, supporting TURBO (on
tour promoted their new material "Awatar").
Between 26-29 th. of September 2001, Antares
recorded new, this time five-tracked, material
in Studio Q. New vocalist Jarek taken up all of
vocal-lines. That material was professionaly issued
as mCD "Run Away", thanks to great financial
share of Mr Karol Hostyñski and his firm
HOSTAL.
Promotion of new material has lasted since the
beginning of 2002. It has been presented on broadcasts
in Poland and abroad as well (in Belgium, France,
Greece); has been well reviewed in music magazines.
Some distributions and so many fans of haevy-metal
became interested in this release.
In the middle of February 2002, after almost half-yearly
search, the second guitarist has became Aleksander
Gawrylarz.
At present band keeps working on new songs, promoting
the latest material and, in free time, gives performance
in full five-men staff.

Shutting
The Door
Shutting the door
Watch out to do it precisely
Shutting the door
Don't waste your time on wondering
If you don't close, don't close it also to others
You know you'll know you are shutting the door
Intense brightness
Intense brightness you'll shade
Will manage to pierce your body
Intense brightness
Everybody, who it wasn't for
Will be satisfied as well
Wrong pictures turning up
In front of your eyes
Are nothing but
What you will manage
To make up yourself
Wrong pictures turning up
In front of your eyes
Are nothing but
What you will manage
To make up yourself
To make up yourself
To make up yourself
To make up yourself
Do everything
Do everything do take it
As much as you can
Do everything
Everybody knows how much of it
You have to got
Shutting the door
Watch out to do it precisely
Shutting the door
Don't waste your time on wondering
If you don't close, don't close it also to others
You know you'll know you are shutting the door
Wrong pictures turning up
In front of your eyes
Are nothing but
What you will manage
To make up yourself
Wrong pictures turning up
